My mum was dead (she’s been dead 13 years) but laid out on a table and I could just ball my eyes out and hug her. My father also was notified and came and hugged me even tho we aren’t speaking (we haven’t for like 2 years over money he won’t speak to me). There were other people there but I don’t remember much of that.
Dreams about deceased loved ones can be quite poignant and emotionally charged, often reflecting our ongoing relationship with their memory and our personal journey through grief and unresolved issues. Here's an interpretation of the dream you described:
Seeing Your Deceased Mother: Your mother's presence in the dream, despite having passed away 13 years ago, suggests a deep emotional connection and a lingering impact she still holds in your life. The act of being able to cry and hug her suggests a need for comfort and an emotional release. It can represent a way for your subconscious to express feelings of longing, missing her, or unresolved grief that still lingers. It might also symbolize a desire for the nurturing and unconditional support she provided or represented to you.
Reconciliation with Your Father: The dream includes an interaction with your father, with whom you currently have a strained relationship. His presence and the act of hugging might symbolize a desire for reconciliation or emotional healing between the two of you. This could serve as a manifestation of hope for bridging the gap created by past conflicts or differences, especially over unresolved issues like monetary disputes. The emotional embrace suggests a deep-rooted connection and perhaps an underlying wish for resolution or forgiveness.
Other People Present: The presence of other people, although not clearly remembered, indicates the influence and presence of other relationships or social settings in this context. These individuals may represent external opinions, societal expectations, or pressures in your life related to family and relationships.
Overall, this dream reflects personal emotional processing, highlighting themes of grief, reconciliation, and the complex dynamics of family relationships. It suggests a need for closure, forgiveness, or peace with past events, potentially prompting you to explore these emotions or situations in waking life for personal healing and growth.
